Advanced Placement

Advanced Placement Courses

A variety of AP courses are offered as a bridge between high school and university.  Using curriculum guidelines provided by The American College Board in Princeton, our teachers have created courses which synthesize the academic demands of post secondary education with the intimacy and support of a small high school class room.

Unlike the IB Program offered at some other schools, AP provides students the flexibility to pursue only those courses which interest them.  At the completion of an AP course, students have the option to write an exam administered by The American College Board.  High scores on this exam qualify students for a first year university credit.

AP courses offered:

  • United States History
  • European History
  • Biology
  • Microeconomics
  • Macroeconomics
  • Literature and Composition
  • Comparative Government and Politics
