Grade 10 Guidance
Guidance services in grade 10 will continue the processes that began in grade 9 but focus greater attention on Career planning and the need to select the academic path that best speaks to a student’s interests and strengths. Students and their counselors will together survey the individual student’s long-term goals and aspirations, and explore a number of possible post-secondary destinations. Guidance activities will begin in the Spring of your grade 9 year and continue throughout grade 10. You may anticipate individual discussions and student/parent handouts in the following areas:
1. Determining a Pathway – Preliminary Discussions
- College, University, Apprenticeship, Work
- Career Studies (GLC2O) half credit
- Career Cruising
